Blepharitis, a common lid condition, is often characterized as a non-specific inflammatory disorder. However, a growing body of evidence suggests a important part for autoimmune processes in many cases. Even though some instances are driven by bacterial overgrowth or dandruffy skin, a subset of individuals experience blepharitis due to their immune
